A detention officer in Haskell County has been arrested for bringing contraband to inmates.

Haskell County deputies arrest a Stigler man and recovered several thousand dollars worth of stolen property after serving a search warrant at his home Thursday. 

People in Checotah are remembering Assistant Police Chief Justin Durrett. He died Monday afternoon after he was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Highway 71 about two weeks ago. 

Haskell County Sheriff's Department said they arrested the county's most wanted suspect Monday, January 8 in Stigler.
